ABOUT TIMBERLINE EVENTS LLC

Timberline Events LLC is a race management company that concentrates on designing and staging team distance relay races with scenic, rural routes, purposely avoiding large population areas and vehicle traffic when ever possible.

Timberline Events has no desire to be the "biggest" relay race, nor will you ever see us claiming to be the best. We love the long distance relay race concept but am more inclined to support the grass root races that are popping up around the country rather than the corporate, big city races that are also out there.

What Timberline Events will promise you is we will try to give you the best relay race experience possible. The races will be organized, the routes scenic, and you'll receive good customer service.

In addition to the Wild West Relay in Colorado in August, Timberline Events also presents the Green Mountain Relay in Vermont, which is scheduled the third weekend each June around the Summer Solstice. Click here to read participant's comments about the WWR.

Timberline Events is also committed to giving back to the cooperating communities along the relay routes. A non-profit organization, Volunteers With A Purpose, Inc., was created to involved small local non-profits organizations with the relays by providing fund-raising opportunities. Since 2005, over $124,000 has been raised and donated to organizations in Colorado and Vermont.

The race director for Timberline Events is Paul Vanderheiden, who has completed 18 marathons, and 10 relays with his team "No Small Feet." In 2007, he completed his first Ironman in Louisville, KY. He is also a licensed commercial river guide, having worked since the late 70's in California, Oregon, Idaho, and the Grand Canyon. He owned and managed a small rafting company, The Forks, for 11 years offering trips on the Class V Forks of the Kern in the Southern Sierra.
